Easy to Operate

Geomar hase two mode of operation to make your survey tasks easiear, manual mode and full autopilot mode. In Manual mode, you can control Geomar using RC Remote Control. You cen set the speed and the manouver freely. For some reason, manual mode is still needed by the pilot or operator. Manual mode is frequently used for the preliminary survey on new area. In Full Autopilot mode, Geomar will work autonomously based on pre-programmed path. With this mode, you can consentrate to monitor the survey’s data instead of controlling the Geomar manouver.

Fast Processing

Geomar gives online data streaming to its command and control station. This real time communication helps the operator to analyse quickly. The manouver can also interupted during the survey operation while using full autopilot mode. The surface station monitors all data as well as the path and manouver of Geomar. It shows the tracking progress of the survey operation.

Accurate Positioning

There are two reasons why Geomar needs accurate positioning. Firstly, for hydrographics survey, the deviation of centimeter order is very important. Secondly, for autopilot system, accuret positioning is very important for precise tracking of predefined way points or path. To support this requirement, we appliad two techonolgies, RTK GNSS instrumentation and our X-Track algortithm. However, for non precision manouver, one can still using GPS without RTK GNSS to operat Geomar using full autopilot feature.

Small & Compact

We have experienced some difficulties while using a big and heavy devices during our survey operations. The fileds are sometimes not easy to walk through. In this situasion, it is very helpfull to have compact survey devices. Based on this purpose, Geomar is designed to be small and compact, to make it easy to handle for various kind of fields and environments.

Long Endurance

Long Range

In Manual mode, the range is limited by the remote control. It is around 600 meters of radius. In full autopilot mode, the range coverage can be increased significantly. As long as there are no data transmition obstacle between geomar and the command center, it can cover 2000 meter radius. However,for safety purpose, we usually operate Geomar in area where Geomar is still visible for our eyes that is around 1000 meter radius.
